Choir Information:                                        Last update  May 19th  2019.

The choir will be competing at the Skye Provincial Mod in Portree on Saturday 1st June.

The Silver Card Gaelic Class lessons that started on Tuesday 23rd April  will appear every week on our website prior to the class being held to allow you to print out the word doc lessons and listen to the audio file for each lesson.

The choir meet every Tuesday between 8pm and 10pm in Portree Primary School. New members will be made very welcome and knowledge of Gaelic is not essential as our Gaelic Tutor will provide support on pronunciations and translations.

The Songs for Mod 2019 in Glasgow are now available online on our website ie Margrat Duncan and the Puirt.  The page also includes Highland Cathedral.

The format will be as follows :- When all parts are heard together, they will be heard as voices to simulate a choir but when individual parts are selected eg Soprano, the individual parts will be heard as piano with voices of the other parts reduced in the background.

In "Tuireadh nan Treun" the 2nd Soprano part will follow the Soprano part until Bar 33 (Rann 2) and will then change to the 2nd Soprano part till Bar 53 when it will rejoin the First Soprano part.

Unfortunately I can't separate the two Alto parts in the Puirt "Mhòrag an Dèan thu tighinn."

Special Dates for choir activities can be found under Events.

Please Note: You should let Karen know if you cannot attend choir practice for any reason.
